We have corporate resources with a community mindset. Our parent company is Royal Shell, based in Southwest Florida. This means we have access to their resources and market reach. While the Landmark Vacation Rentals team is small, we are made up of North Carolina mountain locals and once-visitors who fell in love and relocated, just like you might decide to do once you visit. Balsam Lake Lodge is nestled in the center of the 39,000-acre Roy Taylor Forest within the Nantahala National Forest. The lodge overlooks Balsam Lake and offers spectacular mountain views.
This special 1940’s cabin is located just 6.5 miles from the Blue Ridge parkway! This private retreat will give you a place of peace and solitude right in the heart of the mountains. You can hear our waterfall when sitting on the back deck. It is a perfect location for hiking the well-known waterfalls in Transylvania County and Pisgah Forest. Only 25 minutes from Brevard. Take a stroll around our property or hike the mini trail out the back door. A real treasure of a place to stay.
Located in Haywood County in a pristine valley near the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Logan is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina. The Retreat Center is open year-round to host all types of events, groups, and individuals for retreat, rest, renewal, and recreation. Camp Henry is a summer camp program for children, youth, and families. And the Outdoor School offers a year-round outdoor education program for learners of all ages.
The 300-acre property is adjacent to the Shining Rock Wilderness Area of Pisgah National Forest, featuring a mile-long lake fed by the West Fork of the Pigeon River. The lake is surrounded by forested and open land, a wide array of historic buildings with 88 cabin beds and 92 dorm style beds, plenty of places to gather indoors and out, and five primitive campsites. Lake Logan is often described as “a thin place,” where visitors experience the serenity of God’s glorious gifts. All are welcome to this special place, where the power of nature’s bounty nourishes, restores, and rejuvenates.
